Enterprise Armenia Backs 12 New Startups — What They're Building

Narek: Enterprise Armenia announced its latest cohort last week — 12 startups receiving grants between $25,000 and $150,000 plus 18 months of structured mentorship. I want to walk through what these companies are building because it tells you something about where the ecosystem thinks the opportunity is.

Narek: Six of the twelve are in enterprise software — mostly B2B tools for Armenian and regional SMEs. There's a legitimate local market here: Armenian businesses have historically used older software systems, and there's real demand for modern cloud tools that work in Armenian. A local-language CRM that actually fits Armenian business practices is a harder problem than it sounds, and there's a market for it that Western companies aren't serving well.

Narek: Three are in deep tech — one working on satellite imagery analysis for the agriculture sector, one on AI translation for the Armenian language, one on hardware for seismic monitoring. These are longer-term bets but they leverage Armenia's specific geography and comparative advantages: the country sits in an active seismic zone, has significant agricultural land, and Armenian is a language with relatively little AI training data — which means whoever builds good Armenian NLP models first owns that space.

Narek: The remaining three are in consumer tech. Two gaming companies and one wellness app. The gaming sector in Armenia is more established than most people realise — Social Discovery Group and several other companies have significant Armenia operations.
